A Gel Printing workshop will be run on Saturday 6th July, at Mclaren Unvaled, 122 Main Rd, Mclaren Vale.
In this workshop we will explore the use of paints for printing using a gel based block and ordinary acrylic paints. A simple style of printing that does not use a press. You can use very simple and inexpensive materials to create some great results. It is heaps of fun.
The great advantage of this technique is that you can use normal paints and you can blend the paints on the gel pad. You can also use your gel pad as a stamp pad and create some crazy colour patterns and designs. You can overprint your sheets to create more designs and you can add stencils to make multiple styles of designs in an instant. It is quick and easy and lots of fun.
Make your own cards, wrapping papers, collages, backgrounds for scrap booking, etc. You are only limited by your own imagination. All materials are supplied on the day and a variety of papers, paints, stencils and stamps. As with all of my workshops you will be working in a small group. I will give lots of tips and ideas. Suitable for all skill levels.
Contact me if you need more information.
This will also add to the skills from the paper marbling workshop. A new group of SALA workshops will be announced soon for August which will further enhance the skills learned here. There will be ideas to make some awesome Christmas decorations and gifts.
